Hotel Accommodation Candidasa East BaliHoliday accommodation at Candidasa East Bali is luxurious, near dive shops and good SCUBA diving locations near the coast of East Bali. We stayed at charismatic Budi's Rama hotel bungalows near the Candidasa Lagoon and nearby Candidasa beach with Balinese outrigger boats, which take snorkelling and dive tours from Candidasa beach to nearby uninhabited islands. A worthwhile option is nearby "White Sand Beach" a beautiful white sandy beach in Bali flanked each end of the beach by hills. Coconut drinks and cafe food is for sale near White Sand Beach.
We took a tour with Katut to the nearest ATM 15km east of Candidasa and then to the best buffet restaurant in Bali at Salat, in the mountains north of Candidasa and then via cool winding hill top roads to the Balinese village near Candidasa.
Stop at Padangbai beach near Candidasa to watch fishing boats return with loads of fish. Padangbai is the port for ferry boats to Nusa Lembongan and Penida island which can be seen clearly from Candidasa. There is also an ATM at Padangbai so if you're travelling to Candidasa from south Bali either bring money with you or stop at a Padangbai ATM.
Candidasa and east Bali is more relaxing than south Bali. It has shops, cafes, bars with live music, a range of accommodation including cheap accommodation near the beach at Candidasa, dive shops, sea and land tours from Candidasa to other parts of east Bali.
